Service Times & Duration

We offer two identical services on Sunday morning at 8:15 and 10:30 am.   These services usually last a little over an hour.   But we pack a lot into that hour!

What To Wear

Sunset welcomes everyone just as they are. Some people dress up and others dress casually.   We encourage you to come dressed comfortably.

During the Service

Each service is a little different, but there are a few things you can always expect:

• • We always have a cappella music.   Some songs praise our heavenly father, while others teach and encourage us.   The words and music for the songs are provided on both PowerPoint and in books located in front of your seat.

• We have the Lord’s Supper every Sunday as the first-century Christians did.  We do this as a memorial to our savior, Jesus. (Matt. 26:26-28; Acts 20:7)
• As part of our weekly services we take up an offering.   If you are a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give.   This is an act of worship for those who attend regularly, allowing them to give to help continue the work of the church.
• After the Lord’s Supper, but before the lesson begins, the little ones go to Bible Hour, and the parents are then left in relative peace to listen to the message of the day.   If you have children, they’ll LOVE our Children’s Bible Hour!  We’ve put a lot of energy into making their learning fun, entertaining, and educational for kids from 2 years old through kindergarten.
• Our speakers each Sunday provide messages that are always relevant, straightforward, and applicable to life today.   Whether you’re a follower of Christ or not, you’ll leave with some helpful information.
• And for our deaf and hard of hearing members and guests, we have Personal Assistive Listening devices and signed English interpretation available upon request.

Sunday Evening

On Sunday evening we assemble at 5 pm to give those unable to attend Sunday morning an opportunity to partake of the Lord’s Supper.  The evening discussion is geared toward believers, but is valuable to anyone.   On the 5th Sunday evening of the month we have ‘Family Night’, where our members gather in each others’ homes and study, encourage, and get to know one another better.   (there is a group that gathers at the building on 5th Sunday evening and you are welcome to meet with them in the fellowship hall.)

Bible Study

Every Sunday morning at 9:30 am and Wednesday evening at 7 pm we gather for Bible studies.   There are classes for every age group that are both fun and instructive.  Follow the link to see the  Classes  we are offering this quarter.
