A Family of Perfectly Imperfect People

What To Expect

It’s never easy to visit a church for the first time, so we want to do everything we can to make your experience a good one.

Sunset Parking Lot

Service Times & Duration
We offer two identical services on Sunday morning at 8:15 and 10:30 am that usually last a little over an hour. But we pack a lot into an hour!

What To Wear
Sunset welcomes everyone just as they are. Some people dress up and others dress casually. We encourage you to come dressed comfortably.

During the Service
Each service is a little different, but there are a few things you can always expect:

  • We always have a capella music. Some songs praise our heavenly father, while others teach and encourage us. The words and music for the songs are provided on both PowerPoint and in books located in front of your seat.
  • Sunset Parking Lot

  • We have the Lord’s Supper every Sunday as the first century Christians did. We do this as a memorial to our savior, Jesus. (Matt. 26:26-28; Acts 20:7)
  • As part of our weekly services we take up an offering. If you are a guest, please do not feel any pressure or obligation to give. This is an act of worship for those who attend regularly, allowing them to give to help continue the work of the church.
  • Just before the lesson at our second service, the little ones go to Bible Hour and the parents are then left in relative peace to listen to the message of the day. If you have children, they’ll LOVE our Children’s Bible Hour! We’ve put a lot of energy into making their learning fun, entertaining, and educational for kids from 2 years old through kindergarten.
  • Our speakers each Sunday provide messages that are always relevant, straightforward, and applicable to life today. Whether you’re a follower of Christ or not, you’ll leave with some helpful information.

Sunday Evening
On Sunday evening we assemble at 5 pm to give those unable to attend Sunday morning an opportunity to worship and partake of the Lord’s Supper. The evening lessons are geared toward believers but are valuable to anyone. Just before the lesson children ages 2 through kindergarten are prompted to go to Children’s Bible Story Time, where they will have stories read to them by volunteers.
