Mexican Church Construction

Mexican Church Construction
The dangers of traveling to Mexico prevent us from taking groups to help construct church buildings. However, the needs have not diminished even though funding resources have.
Rick Owens, the mission effort’s coordinator and construction manager, continues to facilitate the work of building dignified meeting places for our brothers and sisters south of the border. He is doing this through a trusted network of Christians that have been developed during Rick’s 20 plus years of service in Mexico. A trusted Mexican Christian, Chuy Chairez, currently serves as the on-site construction supervisor.
Funding continues to come in from a very small handful of supporters who know the value of this work to the future of the Mexican church. Mexico continues to be one of Sunset’s oldest and most popular mission efforts.

Volunteers within the congregation teach the Bible to students in several African nations. This has been the single most successful approach to world wide evangelism that we have been involved in. This program is overseen by one of our elders.
